Mrs. Betty Carol (Reed) Weiss, 68, of Burkesville, KY passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at The Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at 1pmCT, in The Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY. Burial will be in the Stalcup Cemetery in Cumberland County, KY. The family will receive friends after 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2016 until the funeral hour on Sunday.

She was born on Thursday, January 1, 1948, Salyersville, Magoffin County, KY. She was the daughter of Ernest and Oma Whitt Reed. She died Wednesday, August 24, 2016, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 68 years, 7 months and 23 days.

She was of Pentecostal faith and a Sales Person in Retail Sales.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Weiss, Sr.; and her sister, Charlotte Reed.

She is survived by the following:
  • Her children: Cheryl (and Timothy) Ramm of Toldeo, Ohio; Janine (and Larry) Huffman of Swanton, Ohio; and Alfred (and Christina) Weiss, Jr., of Burkesville, KY

  • Her siblings: Dallas (and Karen) Reed of Burkesville, KY; James (and Ellen) Reed of Toledo, Ohio; Patricia Finch of Burkesville, KY; Kathy (and Wayne) Williamson of Loudon, TN;, Donna Johnson of Holland, Ohio: Datha Reed of Burkesville, KY; Remona (and Joseph) Kamer of Angola, IN;, and Sherie Dunn of Holland, Ohio

  • Her grandchildren: Brittany Huffman, Jacqueline Huffman, Andrew Ramm, Ashley Ramm

  • And her great-grandchildren: Addison and Lily.
