Paul Sweet, 95, Adair Co., KY (1921-2016)

He was born March 4, 1921, in Chillicothe, Ohio. He was the son of the late Mack and Ruth Cramer Sweet. He died Thursday, August 11, 2016, at his home in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 95 years, five months, and seven days.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elnora Louise Long Sweet on October 27, 1993.

He was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Marines in the south Pacific, a retired crane operator, a member of Operating Engineers Local 324 in Detroit, Michigan and a member of Sugar Grove United Methodist Church.

Survivors include:
  • One daughter: Jennie Williams of Grand Rapids, Michigan

  • Three grandchildren: Paul (MJ) Berklich of Rockford, MI, Patrick (Kelly) Berklich of Lake Forest, IL & Jennifer Berklich of New York

  • Three great-grandchildren
