Darrell Ray Compton, 48, departed this life Thursday, August 11, 2016 at the Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Funeral services for Darrell Ray Compton will be conducted 2pmCT, Sunday, August 14, 2016, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court Street, Greensburg, KY, with Rev. Garnett Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove of the Nolynn Association Cemetery in the Grab Community of Green County. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT, Saturday, August 13, 2016, and after 7amCT, Sunday at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg.

Darrell Ray Compton was born June 8, 1968 in Adair County, KY. He was the son of Betty Nell Moran Compton of Louisville and the late Ernest Delbert Compton. He departed this life Thursday, August 11, 2016 at the Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, having attained the age of 48 years, two months and three days.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Friendship Separate Baptist Church, Louisville, KY. He was a disabled truck driver and mechanic.

He is survived by his wife: Sarah Jones Compton, Louisville, KY, and the following:
  • Children: Noah Matthew Compton and Ally Nicole Compton, Louisville, KY

  • His mother: Betty Nell Moran Compton, Louisville, KY

  • Two sisters-in-law: Angie Brown and Cathy Barker, Louisville, KY
