U.S. Veteran Jimmy Carl Johnson, age 63, of Lake Station, IN, passed away on Tuesday June 28, 2016 at his residence.

Funeral Services will be held 12pmNoonCT/1pmET, Sunday July 3, 2016 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY. Burial will be in the Caney Fork Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5pm-9pmCT/6pm-9pmET, Saturday July 2nd, 2016 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel and after 8amCT/9amET, Sunday July 3, 2016 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.



Jimmy Carl Johnson, 63, Casey County, KY (1952-2016)

He was born in Liberty, KY on Monday, October 19, 1952. He was the son of the late Russell Woodson and Laura Bell Stafford Johnson. He died Tuesday, June 28, 2016, in Lake Station, Lake County, IN, at the age of 63 years, eight months, and nine days.

Jimmy was a truck driver and a U.S. Army Veteran.

Survivors include:
  • Three daughters: Laura LaDawn Burke of Gibsonville, NC; Harla Christian of Georgetown, KY; and Ashley Michelle Johnson of Fair Oaks, IN

  • One son: Jimmy Shane Johnson of Rensselaer, IN

  • Five grandchildren

  • Two brothers: Gerald Johnson of California and Estill Johnson of Liberty, KY

  • Two sisters: Deloris Johnson of Lake Station, IN; and Judy Daniel of Liberty, KY
Preceding him death besides his parents are Three Sisters: Irene Harness, Lucille Lucas and Fern Downs.
