Susie Lee White, age 74, of Columbia, KY passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 12:29 AM at the T J Samson Hospital in Glasgow, KY after several weeks illness.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 2pmCT, at the First Baptist Church 847 Burkesville Street, Columbia, KY, with Rev. Henry Mosely the officiating clergy. Interment will be in the Jones Cemetery. The family request visiting after 5pmCT, on Monday, June 27, 2016, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY.



Pallbearers: Keenan Bridgewater, Lynn Green, Craig Lasley, Stanley Johnson,Ben Smith, and Shawn White.

Honorary Pallbearers: Todd Ballou, Pat Edwards, David Johnson, Danny Taylor, Ted Thomas, and Eric Whaley.


Susie Lee White, 74, Adair Co., KY (1941-2016)


She was born August 8, 1941 in Columbia, KY. She was the daughter of the late Cary Hughes Willis. She died Wednesday, June 22, 2016, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 74 years, ten months, and 14 days.

In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Nathaniel Billy Willis, and one sister, Mary Katherine Johnson and by one grandson, Phillip O'Brian Bailey.

She is survived by the following:
  • Three sons: Yves White of Indianapolis, IN; and Troy White and Brian Keith White, both of Columbia, KY

  • One sister: Gertie Giles of Columbia, KY

  • Two grandsons: Blake Michael White and Braydon Michael Booth

  • Susie was an active member of the First Baptist Church, a longtime member of the Adair Progressive Club and was retired from Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY after 41 years of service Send condolences to the family of Susie Lee White
