Mrs. Janice Marie Price Mays, 78, of Greensburg, Kentucky, departed this life on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital, Greensburg, KY.

The funeral services for Mrs. Janice Marie Price Mays will be conducted at 1pmCT, Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the New Salem Cemetery. Bro. Jim Collison and Bro. Michael Evine Davis officiating.Visitation is requested from 3pmCT until 8pmCT, Tuesday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Wednesday until time of the funeral service.



Mrs. Janice Marie Price Mays, 78, Green County, KY (1937-2016)

Mrs. Janice Marie Price Mays of Greensburg, Green County, Kentucky, daughter of the late William Albert Price and Lottie Bell Davenport Price, was born on December 7, 1937 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital, Greensburg, Green County, Kentucky. She was 78 years, six months, and 12 days of age.


Pallbearers: Neal Davis, Kevin Davis, Renita Price, Karsten Price, Tommy Price, and Dana Arnett She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the New Salem Baptist Church.

She united in marriage to Clodus Carrol "Joe" Mays on January 23, 1953 who preceded her in death on June 17, 2001.

Survivors include:
  • A son: Barry Keith Mays of Greensburg, KY

  • A grandson: Joe Barry Mays of Greensburg, KY

  • Four great-grandchildren: Donovan Mays, Hunter Mays, Landon Mays, and Peyton Mays all of Greensburg, KY

  • A sister and brother-in-law: Patricia Lou and Scotty Davis of Greensburg, KY

  • And a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Mays was also preceded in death by a brother: Paul W. Price of Greensburg, KY.
