Earl Loyd Guthrie age 75 of Glasgow, KY passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2016 in Glasgow.

Funeral services wer Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 11amCT, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, 601 N Race Street, Glasgow, KY. Visitation was from 4pmCT until 8pmCT Monday, June 20, 2016 and after 8amCT, Tuesday morning at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home in Glasgow.

Graveside service Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 2pmCT at Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Cumberland County, KY.



Earl Lloyd Guthrie, Cumberland Co., KY (1941-2016)


A native of Cumberland County, he was born January 8, 1941, a son of the late Orlan and Nancy Flowers Guthrie. He died Saturday, June 18, 2016, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 75 years, five months, and 10 days.

He was a retired farmer and a United States Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam Era, and a Mason.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Franklin Hall Guthrie and one sister, Hettie Mae Collins. Survivors include:
  • His wife- Marie Guthrie of Glasgow, KY

  • Three adopted children and many loving family members and friends
