Pamela Hurt Foust, 78, Adair Co., KY (1937-2016)

She was a member of a highly distinguished Adair County, KY family. She was the daughter of the late Ralph & Pam "Rosebud" Hill Hurt. She was an ardent advocate for the performing arts in public schools, before and after she retired as a music educator in the Adair County School System. She leaves 12 direct and one step living descendants.

Pamela Hurt Foust, 78, of Nashville, TN, formerly of Columbia, died Friday, June 10, 2016 at McKendree Village in Nashville.

Service will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 10amCT at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with burial to follow in Columbia Cemetery, 315 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY. Visitation after 4pmCT, Monday, June 13, 2016 at the funeral home.



Family members will serve as casket bearers.

Pamela Hurt Foust, 78, Adair Co., KY (1937-2016)

She was born September 20, 1937, in Marion County, to the late Ralph & Pam "Rosebud" Hill Hurt. She died Friday, June 5, 2016, in Nashville, Davidson County, TN, at the age of 78 years, eight months, and 15 days.

She retired from the Adair County School System as a music educator.

Survivors Include:
  • Four children: Richard (Monique) Foust of Columbia, KY; Cary (Richard) Street of Nashville, Laura Foust (Chris Maurath) of Columbia, KY; and William (Brook) Foust of St. Louis, MO

  • Six grandchildren: Wyatt Foust, Allie Foust, Joseph (Nastasia) Street, Rose Street, Hannah Heuser and Rebeca Heuser

  • One step-grandchild: Gavin Warnhoff

  • Two great-grandchildren: Aiden Street & Avery Street

  • Numerous cousins and friends
Send condolences to the family of Pamela Hurt Foust

In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy be in the form of a donation to Save the Music Foundation in Mrs. Foust's memory. These may be left at the funeral home.
