She was the daughter of the late Arlis Vernon & Opal Morrow Gaskin. She was a native of Russell County, was a resident of the county at the time of her death, and will be laid to rest in Clear Springs Cemetery in the county of her birth.

Wilma Ann Gaskin Ballenger, 80, of Jamestown, died Wednesday at the Fair Oaks Nursing Home in Jamestown, KY.

Funeral service for Wilma Ann Ballenger will be at 11amCT, Saturday, June 11, 2016, at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Randy Brown officiating. Visitation will be after 9amCT, Saturday. Interment in the Clear Springs Cemetery.



Wilma Ann Ballenger, 80, Russell County, KY (1935-2016)


She was born August 13, 1935 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Arlis Vernon & Opal Morrow Gaskin. She died Wednesday, June 8, 2016, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 80 years, nine months, and 26 days.

She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by infant son, Gary Ray Ballenger. Survivors include the following:
  • Three sisters: Shirley Carnahan, Loveland, Ohio; Joyce Withers, Russell Springs, KY; and Sherry Jean Foley, Louisville, KY

  • Four brothers: Howard Gaskin and Joe Gaskin, both of Russell Springs, KY; Jerry Dean Gaskin, Louisville, KY; and Danny Reid Gaskin, Jamestown, KY

  • And several nieces and nephews.
