Harlan J. Scott, 83, Bullitt County, KY (1932-2016)

He was the last surving member of highly regarded Adair County family. He was retired after 43 years from Ford Motor Company as an Inspector, member of UAW and an Army Veteran (1953-1954) of the Korean War.

Harlan J. Scott, 83 of Shepherdsville, KY, returned to his Heavenly Father June 8, 2016 at Audubon Hospital.

Funeral service will be 12:45pmCT/1:45pmET, Sunday June 11, 2016 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. and Brooks Rd), 4895 N Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville, KY. Visitation will be 1pm-7pmCT/2pm-8pmET, Saturday June 10, 2016 and after 8amCT/9amET, Sunday until time of service. Interment will be in Brookland Cemetery.



Harlan J. Scott, 83, Bullitt County, KY (1932-2016)


He was born Saturday, August 27, 1932. He died June 8, 2016, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 83 years, nine months, and 12 days.

He was retired after 43 years from Ford Motor Company as an Inspector, member of UAW and an Army Veteran of the Korean War.

He was the last surviving sibling out of six.

Those who preceded him in death are his brothers, Timmy; Herbert; Carl; sisters, Joyce and Elizabeth.

Mr. Scott leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 60 years, Shirley Bault-Scott, and the following:
  • Three sons: Terry (Karen); Bobby (Kim); Bruce (Donna) Scott

  • Six grandchildren: Melanie, Alicia, Michael, Deanna, Jamie, and Dylan

  • Two great grandsons: Isaac and Cason

  • One great granddaughter due in August, 2016.
