He was a member of Grace Baptist Church. He was a native of Casey County, KY, the son of the late Celeste Wilkerson and John Wilkerson. His wife, Pearl Wilkerson, survives. He leaves 12 direct living descendants spanning four generations.

J.D. Wilkerson, 81, of Dunnville, KY passed away Wednesday June 01, 2016 at Golden Living Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be at 4pmCT, Friday June 03, 2016 at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY with Bro. Caleb Shirley officiating. Visitation will be after 3pmCT, on Friday at Wilson Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Resthaven Memorial Park, 10209 Plainfield Road, Cincinnati, Ohio.

He was born on Wednesday December 05, 1934 in Casey County, KY. He was the son of the Celeste Wilkerson and John Wilkerson. He died Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at the age of 81 years, five months, and 28 days.

He was a member of Grace Baptist Church He is survived by his wife, Pearl Wilkerson, Dunnville, KY, and the following:
  • One daughter: Donna Woodyard, Lawrenceburg, IN

  • Three sons: Dale Wilkerson, San Franscico, CA; Gary Wilkerson, Cincinnati, Ohio; and Glen Wilkerson, Dunnville, KY

  • One sister: Doris Thompson, Cincinnati, Ohio

  • Five grandsons

  • Two great-grandsons

  • and one great-grand daughter
