Mrs. Doris Ann Curry, Green County, KY (1936-2016)

She was a native of Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Etheridge Banks Curry and Inez Brockman Curry. She leaves 13 direct living descendants. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Valley View Baptist Church.

Mrs. Doris Ann Curry, 80, departed this life May 25, 2016 at the Baptist East Hospital in Louisville, KY.

The funeral service will be at 1pmCT, Sunday, May 29, 2016,at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court Street, Greensburg, KY, with Rev. Nathan Crawford officiating. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT, Saturday, May 28, 2016. Interment will be in the Green County Memory Gardens, Summersville, KY.



Pallbearers: Dennis Grady Curry, Keith Curry, Ryan Hawkins, Troy Curry, Tim Curry, and Joe B. Curry.

Honorary Pallbearers: Scott Humphrey, Ricky Simpson, Mitch Edelen, Chris Edelen, John Curry, Derrick Bondurant, Jared Simpson, and Michael Lewis.

Mrs. Doris Ann Curry, Green County, KY; Adair native (1936-2016)

Mrs. Doris Ann Curry was born March 16, 1936 in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Etheridge Banks Curry and Inez Brockman Curry. She departed this life May 25, 2016 at the Baptist East Hospital in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, having attained the age of 80 years, two months and nine days.

Doris had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Valley View Baptist Church.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters: Harold, Charles, Willie, Roger and Juanita Curry and Eva Jewell Shuffett.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two sons and their wives: Edwin Keith Curry, Sr. and Patricia of Taylorsville, KY; and Dennis Grady Curry and Sue of Lawrenceburg, KY

  • One daughter: Kristie Dawn McClung of Taylorsville, KY

  • Two brothers and their wives: Joe and Jane Curry of Campbellsville, KY; and Jim and Thelma Curry of Greensburg, KY

  • Five sisters and one brother-in-law: Judy Metcalfe of Greensburg, KY; Louise Parrish and Sue Bondurant of Pensacola, FL; Wanda and Mitch Edelen of Orlando, FL; and Martha Curry of Greensburg, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Natalie Lewis, Ryan Hawkins, Brandon and Keith Curry, Lydia and Megan McClung

  • Four great grandchildren: Jordan, Landon, Abbi and Aubree Lewis

  • Plus a host of other relatives and friends
