Rachel Blankenship, 73, Taylor Co., KY (1943-2016)

She was a retired employee of Taylor Regional Hospital and a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church. She was the daugher of the late Ellis DeWitt and Mable Carter DeWitt and the widow of Billy Gene Blankenship, her husband of 57 years. She leaves eight direct living descendants.

Rachel Blankenship of Campbellsville died at 4:53pmET, Wednesday, May 11, 2016 in Elizabethtown, KY.

The funeral service will be at 1pmCT/2pmET, Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY by Rev. Shaun Caudill. Burial will be Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be 5pm-7pmCT/6pm-8pmET, Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.



Rachel Blankenship, 73, Taylor Co., KY (1943-2016)

Rachel Blankenship of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Ellis DeWitt and Mable Carter DeWitt, was born March 30, 1943, in Green County, Kentucky. She died Wednesday, May 11, 2016 in Elizabethtown, Hardin County, KY, at the age of 73 years, one months, and 12 days. She was a retired employee of Taylor Regional Hospital.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church.

She united in marriage to Billy Gene Blankenship December 6, 1958. He preceded her in death January 13, 2015.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son and two daughters: Michael Blankenship and wife, Glenda of Bowling Green, KY; Debbie Foley and husband, Ronnie of Summersville, KY; and Chasity Lococo and husband, Dave of Louisville, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Brandie Young and husband, Clint of Bowling Green, KY; Megan Blankenship of Louisville, KY; Vincent Lococo and Anna Lococo of Louisville, KY

  • Two great-grandchildren: Nicole Young and Brandon Young

  • One brother: Grady DeWitt of Summersville, KY

  • Two step-brothers: William B. Moran of Campbellsville, KY; and Dennis Moran of Chicago, Illinois

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And many other relatives and friends
