Berman Dale Withers, 67, Russell Co., KY (1948-2016)

He was Transportation Director for Stephens Pipe & Steel and was a member of New Friendship United Baptist Church. He was a highly respected citizen, a former resident of Russell County and a resident of Pulaski County, KY, at the time of his death.He was a native of Shelby County, IN, the son of Liliie Wilson Withers, who survives, and the late Garnet Elvin Withers. His wife, Christy Withers, survives. He leaves four direct and one step- living descendants

Berman Dale Withers, 67, of Somerset, Ky (formerly of Russell Springs, died Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset.

Funeral services for Berman Dale Withers will be 3pmCT, Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Noah Broughton and Bro. Hugh Withers officiating. Visitation after 5pmCT, Thursday, April 21, 2016. Interment in the New Friendship Cemetery, Russell County, KY.

Berman Dale Withers, 67, Russell Co., KY (1948-2016)


He was born September 3, 1948 in Shelbyville, Shelby County, IN. He was the son of Lillie Wilson Withers and the late Garnet Elvin Withers. He died Tuesday, April 19, 2016, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY at the age of 67 years, seven months, and 16 days.

He was Transportation Director for Stephens Pipe & Steel and was a member of New Friendship United Baptist Church.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Popplewell.

Survivors include:
  • His wife: Christy Withers, Somerset, KY

  • One daughter: Shannon and Mark Shepard, Russell Springs, KY

  • One son: Michael Withers and Lindsey McFarland, Hendersonville, TN

  • One step daughter: Heather Tuel, Somerset, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Zachary Harris and Allyson Harris

  • Mother: Lillie Withers, Russell Springs, KY

  • Three brothers: Manus Withers, Yosemite, KY; Jim Withers, Russell Springs, KY; and Rodney Withers, Russell Springs, KY
