Mrs. Lucy Coyle, 61, Campbellsville, KY (1955-2016)

Mrs. Coyle was retired, having worked many years in the food and beverage industry and in the Campbellsville Fruit of the Loom factory. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church. She was the devoted wife of George Richard "G.R." Coyle, who preceded her in death on February 16, 2012.

Mrs. Lucy Coyle, 61, of Campbellsville, KY. entered into rest on April 6, 2016 at the University of Louisville Hospital after an extended illness.

A memorial service to honor the life of Mrs. Coyle was held on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 10:30amCT/11:30amET, in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY 42718. Bro. Carlis Compton officiated.. Interment is in the Lebanon National Cemetery, 20 Hwy 208, Lebanon, KY 40033. The family received friends at the funeral home on Friday, April 8, from 7:30amCT/8:30amET, until the time of service.

Mrs. Lucy Coyle of Campbellsville was born on January 16, 1955. She was the daughter of the late Otha Lee and Ina Mae (Hancock) Allen. She died on April 6, 2016 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 61 years, 2 months, and 21 days of age.

Mrs. Coyle was retired, having worked many years in the food and beverage industry and in the Campbellsville Fruit of the Loom factory. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church. She was the devoted wife of George Richard "G.R." Coyle, who preceded her in death on February 16, 2012. She leaves to cherish her memory:
  • One daughter: Amanda Ferguson of Campbellsville, KY

  • Eleven brothers and sisters: Barbara & Kenneth Harris of Greensburg, KY; Vernon & GenRose Allen, Davetta & Wayne Buckner, Glenda & David Shreve, Keith & Donna Allen, Gloria & Bobby Cave, Carolyn & John Gaines, Evelyn & Richard Jeter all of Campbellsville, KY; Sharon & Ronnie Gregory of Louisville, KY; Joyce & Robert Dowell of LeGrange, KY; and Otha & Susan Allen of Lebanon, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Darlene Zane Ferguson and Naomi Lucille-Faith Ferguson

  • Two sister-in-laws: Paula Holt of Lawrenceburg, KY; and Connie Riney of Harrodsburg, KY

  • One brother-in-law: Ellis W. Shelton of Greensburg, KY

  • And a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She is also preceded in death by a sister, Martha Shelton.
