Reader reports 1st malt liquor license in Russell County, KY

Location is Stop & Save, 900 Maple Drive, Russell Springs, KY. Adair CJE Mike Stephens reports that Russell County Judge Gary Robertson has notified area officials that the first sales are scheduled for 5pmCT, today, Wednesday, April 6, 2016.

According to the Kentucky Alcoholic Beverage Control website, a malt liquor license has been granted to Bajrangbali Inc. for a convenience mart in Russell Springs near the Cumberland Parkway interchange.

Details may be viewed by going to ABCStarPortal , entering Zip Code 42642, clicking on the "search" button and then clicking on "details" for the license granted to Bajrangbali Inc. (The only other license granted thus far in Russell County is for a transporter.)

This appears to be a temporary license, as it was issued yesterday (April 5, 2016) and expires April 30.

Information about the business itself may be viewed on the Kentucky Secretary of State's site at Secretary of State.
