Morgan Smith Industries now working on new UK student center

Columbia firm's specialty: 'creating any incredible custom products that our clients can dream up.' - STEVE JONES
See earlier: There's a lot of Columbia, KY craftsmanship in Downing Center

By Steve Jones

We are very proud of the work we do here. We've done projects from New Orleans to New York city. We just now have started working on the University of Kentucky's new student center / renovation which will be open in just under 2 years. The architect's animated "fly-through" can be seen in the accompanying YouTube video:

Again we at Morgan Smith Industries, LLC, are doing the custom woodworking, reception desks, food service counters, display cases, wall paneling, cabinetry & casework, etc. One of the fun challenges on this project is that most of the counter tops on the reception desks in the facility are made from precast concrete, with some counter tops being almost 20' long.

But then again, that's our specialty - creating any incredible custom products that our clients can dream up.
