He was a devoted family man, a retired factory worker in the auto parts industry and he enjoyed outdoor activities, mainly baseball, especially the Detroit Tigers, and fishing.

Avery R. Justice of Greensburg departed this life on April 2, 2016 in Campbellsville at the Taylor Regional Hospital, having attained the age of 76 years, 11 months, and 30 days.

Cremation rites were accorded Mr. Justice by the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Campbellsville. All services were held privately. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society in memory of Mr. Justice.

Avery R. Justice of Greensburg was born in Pike County, Kentucky on April 3, 1939. He departed this life on April 2, 2016 in Campbellsville at the Taylor Regional Hospital, having attained the age of 76 years, 11 months, and 30 days. He was a retired factory worker in the auto parts industry. Mr. Justice enjoyed outdoor activities, mainly baseball, especially the Detroit Tigers, and fishing. Above this, though, he was a devoted family man.

He leaves to cherish his memory:
  • His wife: Kaye Justice of Greensburg,

  • One son: David Justice of Green County,

  • One daughter: Renee Gedert and husband Steve of Green County,

  • One sister: Mary Lou Damron of Illinois,

  • Two grandchildren: Timothy Gedert and Rachel Gedert of Green County,

  • A host of extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gracie Justice, and two siblings, Betty Trout and Frank Justice.

Cremation rites were accorded Mr. Justice by the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Campbellsville. All services were held privately. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society in memory of Mr. Justice.
