Mr. Jackie Thomas Bishop, Grab, Green County, KY (1954-2016)

He was a highly regarded citizen of Green County, KY. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church. Mr. Bishop was a lifelong farmer, a loving husband, Daddy, and Pa. He was a native of Green County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Weldon Bishop & Carrie Grances Gentry Bishop. His wife of over 40 years, Lillian M. Clements Bishop, survives. He leaves 10 living direct and one-on-the-way descendants, and one living step descendant.

Mr. Jackie Thomas Bishop, 61, of the Grab Community of Green County, KY, departed this life on Friday, March 25, 2016 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg, KY.

The funeral services for Mr. Jackie Thomas Bishop will be conducted at 1pmCT, Monday, March 28, 2016 at the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Bro. Ricky Arnett and Bro. Todd Davis will officiate. Visitation was from 4pm until 9pm, Sunday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg; from 7am until 9am, Monday at the funeral home and after 10amCT, Monday at the church until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: Ronnie Bishop, Joey Bishop, Ricky Arnett, Doug Robertson, Brad Hodges, Steven Money, Ben Sullivan, Dustin Ray, Mike Bishop, Karsten Price, and Tony Morgan.

Mr. Jackie Thomas Bishop, Grab, Green County, KY (1954-2016)

Mr. Jackie Thomas Bishop of the Grab Community of Green County, KY, son of the late Weldon Bishop and Carrie Frances Gentry Bishop, was born on December 28, 1954 in Green County, KY and departed this life on Friday, March 25, 2016 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital. He was 61 years, 2 months, and 26 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church. Mr. Bishop was a lifelong farmer, a loving Husband, Daddy, and Pa.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Lillian M. Clements Bishop of Grab, having united in marriage on July 26, 1975. Other survivors include:
  • Three daughters and sons-in-law: Brittany and Ben Sullivan, April and Steven Money, Kortney and Dustin Ray all of Grab, KY

  • Seven grandchildren: Addi Sullivan, Gabe Sullivan, Andy Money, Harlin Money, Layla Money, Jack Money, Leighton Ray, and one grandchild on the way

  • A step-grandson: Levi Money

  • Two brothers and sisters-in-law: Ronnie and Sharon Bishop, Joey and Karen Bishop all of Greensburg, KY

  • Five sisters and brothers-in-law: Margie Price, Fay and Gordon Davis, Bernice and Marcus Wisdom all of Greensburg, KY; Charolette and Jimmy Bradley of Burkesville, KY; and Susan Jeneanne and Tom Kelly of Greensburg, KY

  • Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Ila and Tim Runyon of Casey County, KY; Verrel and Deloris Clements, and Sheila Clements all of Campbellsville, KY

  • and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
