Mildred Sue Harris, 76, Taylor County, KY (1939-2016)

She united in marriage to Silas "Buddy" Harris February 17, 1957. She was retired and had served as secretary for the Campbellsville Baptist Church where she was a member, and the Taylor County Cooperative Extension Service. She was a prior volunteer with the Crisis Relief Center. She had a love for children and had served in the Preschool Ministry at Campbellsville Baptist Church.

Mildred Sue Harris of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Charles O. Richerson and Mary Aileen Wilkerson Richerson was born July 3, 1939 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 9:36amET, Wednesday, March 23, 2016 in Louisville at age 76.

Visitation will be from 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Friday, March 25, 2016 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY. The funeral service will be at 10amCT/11amET Saturday, March 26, 2016 at the funeral home by Rev. Kelvin Edwards, Dr. Mike O’Neal and Dr. James Jones. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 700 Old US 68, Campbellsville, KY.

Mildred Sue Harris of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Charles O. Richerson and Mary Aileen Wilkerson Richerson was born July 3, 1939 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 9:36amET, Wednesday, March 23, 2016 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 76 years, eight months, and 20 days .

She united in marriage to Silas "Buddy" Harris February 17, 1957. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church.

She was retired and had served as secretary for the Campbellsville Baptist Church and the Taylor County Cooperative Extension Service. She was a prior volunteer with the Crisis Relief Center. She had a love for children and had served in the Preschool Ministry at Campbellsville Baptist Church.

She is survived by:
  • Her husband Silas "Buddy" Harris of Campbellsville

  • Three sons and two daughters: Tim Harris and wife, Debbie and Mike Harris of Campbellsville, Karen Edwards and husband, Rev. Kelvin Edwards of Summersville, Jenny Houk and husband, Joey of Greensburg and Wynn Harris and wife, Stephanie of London

  • Eight grandchildren: Kalie Edwards-Crowder of Glasgow, Erin Harris, Sarah Houk-Hayes and husband, Jason of Campbellsville, Kaitlyn Edwards-Taylor and husband, Alex of Greensburg, Lacy Harris of Campbellsville, Stephen Houk of Greensburg, Mason Harris and Kaden Harris of London

  • Three great-grandchildren: Madeline Crowder of Glasgow, Griffin Hayes and Jacob Hayes of Campbellsville

  • One brother, Keith Richerson and wife, Theresa of Campbellsville many other relatives and friends
