Lester Glen Anderson passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at his home in Casey County, KY. He was 77.

Funeral services were at 1pmCT/2pmET, Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Maupin officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Springs Cemetery. Visitation was Wednesday from 11amCT/12pmNoonET, until funeral service.



Lester Glen Anderson, Casey Co., KY (1938-2016)


Born June 28, 1938 in Casey County, KY, he was the son of the late George and Ollie Carmicle Anderson. He died Tuesday, March 22, 2016, in Casey County, KY, at the age of 77 years, 8 months, and 23 days.

He was a carpenter.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dixie Darlene Estes Anderson, who died April 14, 2004; and two sisters, Devonda Chambers and Fayrene Roy. Survivors include:
  • A son, Bo Anderson of Liberty, KY

  • Two daughters, Missy (and Mark) Lynn of Liberty, KY; and Tena (and Jackie) Sumpter of Somerset, KY

  • Five grandchildren

  • Seven great-grandchildren

  • Four sisters, Evelyn Russell of Lexington, KY; Phyllis (and Ernie) Bell of Russell Springs, KY; Maeleen (and Danny) Turner of Liberty, KY; and Maxine Lawhorn of Lexington, KY
