As many of you know, we have two great young Chinese teachers within our district this year.

They are here through the Confucius Institute at Western Kentucky University.

Today Wednesday, March 16, 2016 the Confucius Institute Mobile Unit "The Chinese Cultural Experience" that is transported strategically throughout the state to promote the Chinese language and culture, arrived at the Adair County Elementary School.

The 40ft mobile home has been converted into a Chinese museum on wheels and is free for districts to use.

There are six compartments that include musical instruments, facts/holiday information, Chinese calligraphy, arts/crafts, wellness/games, and beautiful costumes.

This mobile classroom has been to over 100 locations and has served over 5,000 students, parents, administrators, and community members.

Now ACES can be added to the list and the students loved the experience.

Shamarie Harper, the writer, is media coordinator for the Adair County School District
