Donna Sallee Murray, 89, Taylor County, KY (1926-2016)

She was a retired employee of Walmart in Campbellsville. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She was a native of Taylor County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of her death in Marion County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Howett Sallee & Sarah Campbell Sallee and the widow of Kermit Murray, her husband of over 61 years.

Donna Sallee Murray, 89, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 6:45pmET, Monday, March 14, 2016 in Lebanon, Marion County, KY.

The funeral services will be at 10amCT/11amET, Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Carlis Compton and Dr. Brian Rafferty. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 700 Old US 68, campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET at the funeral home.



Donna Sallee Murray, 89, Taylor County, KY (1926-2016)

Donna Sallee Murray of Campbellsville, KY, was the daughter of the late Howett Sallee and Sarah Campbell Sallee. She was born July 28, 1926, in Taylor County, KY. She died Monday, March 14, 2016 in Lebanon, Marion County, KY, at the age of 89 years, seven months, and 15 days.

She was a retired employee of Walmart in Campbellsville. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

She united in marriage to Kermit Murray October 18, 1943. He preceded her in death January 21, 2005.

She is survived by:
  • Three brothers: Willard Sallee and Arnold Sallee and wife, Lola of Campbellsville and Leroy Sallee and wife, Betty of Gibson City, IL

  • One sister-in-law: Lula Sallee of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two brothers-in-law: Gerald "Hodge" Skaggs and Tom Mardis of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • and many other relatives and friends
She was also preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters: Stanley Sallee, William Sallee, Louvenia Mardis, Dimple Skaggs and Marjory Sallee.
