Otis Terry, 89, Dunnville, KY (1926-2016)

He was a farmer and retired from Terry Brother's Gate. He was a member of the Green River Valley Separate Baptist Church. Otis was a loving grandfather. He was a native of Ohio and a resident of Dunnville, KY, at the time of his death. He was the widower of Mary Ann Terry. He leaves 35 direct living descendants to carry on his legacy.

Otis Terry of Dunnville, KY passed away Friday, March 11, 2016 at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY. He was 89 years young.

Funeral services are 10amCT/11amET Monday, March 14, 2016 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Troy Grider and Bro. Corey Hayes officiating. Mr. Otis Terry will be laid to rest in Green River Valley Cemetery. Visitation is 3pm-8pmCT/4pm-9pmET, Sunday, March 13, 2016, from at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home and Monday from 6amCT/7amET, until funeral service.



Pallbearers are Jeff Dick, Brandon Terry, Wade Bullock, Austin Dick, Josh Terry, Derek Propes, and Damon Bullock. Honorary pallbearers are Kaitlyn Dick, Lauren Hayes, Ellie Terry, Brody Terry, Eyan Propes, Reid Bullock, Addison Hammann, and Samantha Hammann.

Otis Terry, 89, Dunnville, KY (1926-2016)

Born November 17, 1926 in Hamilton County, Ohio, he was the son of the late Marion A. Terry and Clara Ray Bell Terry. He died Friday, March 11, 2016, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 89 years, three months, and 23 days.

He was a farmer and retired from Terry Brother's Gate. He was a member of the Green River Valley Separate Baptist Church. Otis was a loving grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Ann Terry, who passed away September 7, 2007; four brothers, Donald, Otha, J.R., and Junior Terry; two sisters, Agnes Morgan and Rose Terry; and a great-granddaughter, Grace Bullock.

Survivors include:
  • Three sons, Phillip Terry of Cincinnati, Ohio; and Danny (and Anna) Terry and Dwight (and Susan) Terry both of Russell Springs, KY

  • Two daughters, Shirley Simpson of Dunnville, KY; and Phyllis Reid of Russell Springs, KY

  • Ten grandchildren

  • Eighteen great-grandchildren

  • A brother, Roy and (Brenda) Terry of Cincinnati, Ohio

  • And three sisters, Pauline Allen of Somerset, KY; Lorene Sims of Largo, FL; and Norma (and Vearl) Murphy of Harrison, Ohio.
