She was a member of Columbia Baptist Church and retired from the Bank of Columbia. She was a member of a prominent, highly regarded Adair County, KY family, the wife of Rollen Coomer, who survives, and mother of Greg Coomer, who also survives.

Myrna Coomer, 81, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Saturday, March 12, 2016 in Campbellsville, KY.

The funeral service for Myrna Loy will be Sunday, March 13, 2016 at 2pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia,KY, with Dr. Michael O'Neal and Dr. William Scott officiating. Burial in Columbia Cemetery, 315 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 4pmCT, Saturday, March 12, 2016, at the funeral home.



Myrna Coomer, 81, Adair Co., KY (1934-2016)


She was born November 4, 1934, to the late Elbert Clifton and Mattie Dimple McClister Loy. She died Saturday, March 12, 2016, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 81 years, four months, and eight days.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Thurman Jean Loy; and one sister, Betty Jo Compton.

She was a member of Columbia Baptist Church and retired from the Bank of Columbia.

Survivors include:
  • Her husband: Rollen Coomer, of Columbia, KY

  • Her son and daughter-in-law: Greg & Joyce Coomer of Fairplay, KY

  • One brother: Tony Loy of Fairplay, KY

  • Several other relatives and friends
