Seven LWC wrestlers get NAIA title prelim bids NAIA Wrestling Championship Preliminary Brackets Released; Seven Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders earn bids. Click on headline for complete obituary By Charles Balcom COLUMBIA, KY - The 2016 NAIA Wrestling National Championships, presented by USA Wrestling-Kansas, preliminary brackets have been released, the national office announced Thursday, February 25, 2016. Of the seven Blue Raider qualifiers in the national field, four are currently scheduled to receive opening round byes. James Flint (125 pounds), Brady Moser (133) Daniel Leonard (141) and Chico Adams (285) are projected to receive byes, while Matt Walker (174), Rhodes Bell (174) and Jake Maupin (197) are scheduled to be in action in the opening round of competition. Flint, Leonard, Maupin and Adams all secured NAIA All-American status a season ago after finishing in the top eight of their respective weight classes. Preliminary brackets are subject to change and are not considered official until the conclusion of team registration on Thursday, March 3. Official brackets will be released Thursday night following the conclusion of the on-site NAIA-Wrestling Coaches Association Bracketing Committee meeting on NAIA.org.
