He was a native of Barren County, KY, and a resident of Russell County, KY, at the time of his death. His wife, Mary, survives. He leaves a number of relatives in Adair and Russell Counties and elsewhere to mourn his passing

Larry Gene Jeffries, 57, of Russell Springs, KY, died Monday, February 22, 2016 at his home.

Graveside service for Larry Gene Jeffries will be 10amCT, Thursday, February 25, 2016 at the Mill Springs National Cemetery, 9044 KY 80, Nancy, KY with full military honors by the Russell County Honor Guard.

He was born July 20, 1958 in Glasgow, Barren County, KY. He was the son of the late James D. Jeffries and Callie Belle Jeffries, who survives. He died Monday, February 22, 2016, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 57 years, seven months, and two days.

He was a welder and a Veteran of US Army.

Survivors include the following:
  • His wife, Mary

  • Two step daughters, Jessica Bault and Tina Kaylor, both of Columbia, KY

  • Five step grandchildren, Kobe Overby, Sienna Overby, Chase Stanton, Christine White, and Natalea Kaylor
  • His mother, Callie Belle Jeffries, Louisville, KY

  • One brother, James Alan Jeffries, Louisville, KY

  • One sister, Debbie Morris, Louisville, KY
