He was a native of Cumberland County, KY and a resident of Johnson County, IN, at the time of his death.His wife, Kathleen Key, survives. He leaves 17 direct living descendants. Mr. Key was a machinist for Chrysler in Indianapolis for over 32 years.

Mr. Arlis Clark Key, 87, of Greenwood, IN passed away Sunday, February 14, 2016 at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 10amCT, at Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with Bro. Carlos Burdine and Bro. Wade Zachary officiating. Burial in the Guthries Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 9amCT, Thursday, February 18, 2016 until the funeral hour at Norris-New.



He was a native of Cumberland County, KY, and a machinist for Chrysler in Indianapolis for over 32 years. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Key of Greenwood, IN, and the following:
  • His children: Brenda (and Rev. Wade) Zachary of Asheville, NC; David (and Kim) Key of Greenwood, IN; Darrell (and Amy) Key of Greenwood, IN; Anthony "Tony" (and Natalie) of Knoxville, TN; and Candy Ashby of Greenwood, IN

  • Brothers: Max Murphy of Greenwood, IN; and Wes (Joyce) Murphy of Indianapolis, IN

  • Sister: Susie Waggoner of Indianapolis, IN

  • Nine grandchildren

  • Two great-grandchildren
