Whitfield Statement on the Passing of Mrs. Cecil Ferrell HOPKINSVILLE, KY (01 Feb 2016) – U.S. Rep. Ed Whitfield (KY-01) issued the following statement after learning of the passing of longtime friend and community businesswoman, Mrs. Cecil Ferrell: "Our community lost a great businesswoman, friend, and one of the hardest working people in town with the passing of Mrs. Cecil Ferrell. Mrs. Ferrell and her late husband, David, were community leaders in every sense of the word. They helped grow the local economy, employed hundreds of people, and put their grandchildren through medical school with Ferrell's Snappy Service’s marvelous hamburgers. Mrs. Ferrell was a credit to Hopkinsville and Christian County and we will miss her tremendously." This story was posted on 2016-02-01 14:18:18
