CU political science students in Iowa to study Caucus activity

CU students visit Iowa University, interviewing presidential candidates, researching and learning politics and media hands on

Dr. Shawn Williams, Campbellsville University's associate professor of political science, is in Iowa this week with students from his Politics and Social Media class. The class traveled to the Iowa Caucus for the 2016 Presidential Campaign, where they have an opportunity to experience lessons they're learning in the classroom in a whole new way.

This class will be staying in Iowa for five days, where they will attend speaking events, rallies and watch parties. They will be posting updates and analyses to their websites following the events.

Students have been working independently creating social media sites to document the campaign trail for the 2016 election, and for the remainder of the caucus, they will be uploading and interacting all that they experience online.

The students have taken to social media to document their experiences of the caucus. Be sure to follow along at http://cu2016election.weebly.com or on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram sites, using the hashtag #CUinIowa. They will also have a live feed on Google Hangouts under the username Polly Sci.
