Lola Arleen Jessee, 91, Adair Co. KY (1924-2016)

She was a charter member of Trinity United Methodist Church and retired from Columbia Windows. She was the matriarch of a highly regarded family. She was a native of Metcalfe County, KY, and a longtime resident of Adair County, KY, her home at the time of her death. She was the daughter ofthe late Edward and Millie Jane Sparks Jessee, and the widow of Autrice Jessee. She leaves 18 direct and one step living descendants.

Lola Arleen Jessee, 91, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 10:55amCT, at Summit Manor Health & Rehab Center, Columbia, KY.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 11amCT, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 2418 Campbellsville Road, Columbia, KY, with Rev. William Davenport, Rev. Kenneth Jessee and Rev. Steve Pescosolido officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery, 3422 Wheeler Hill Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be on Monday, January 25, 2016, from 4pm-8pmCT, and after 9amCT, Tuesday at Trinity United Methodist Church.



Casket Bearers: Ricky, Kerry, Jeff, Joe and Greg Collins, and Charles W. Jessee.

Lola Arleen Jessee, 91, Adair Co. KY (1924-2016)

She was born June 14, 1924, in Metcalfe County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Millie Jane Sparks Jessee. She died Thursday, January 21, 2016, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 91 years, seven months, and 15 days.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Autrice Jessee; her daughter, Janice Marie Turner; and a grandson, Tyler Jessee. She was a charter member of Trinity United Methodist Church and retired from Columbia Windows.

Survivors include:
  • Two sons: Wendell (Jeanie) Jessee of Danville, Tony (Julie) Jessee of Columbia, KY

  • One brother: John Benjamin Jessee of Louisville, KY

  • One sister: Edra Nell "Bobbie" Collins of Columbia, KY

  • Four grandchildren

  • One step-grandchild

  • Six great-grandchildren

  • And six great-great grandchildren
