Mrs. Dorothy Corbin Petty, lifelong Adair Countian (1934-2015) 
'At the age of 20, she devoted her life to her best friend Malcolm Petty, and together they shared over 37 years of marriage before his passing. She professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. She took great pride in her family and cherished the times they spent together. Always gracious, she rarely asked for things for herself, preferring instead to give to others. Mrs. Petty loved to find beauty and peace in both people and nature. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Dorothy Petty on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 11amCT/12pmNoonET, in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY 42718. Bro. Larry Wisdom will be officiating. Mrs. Petty will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Fudge Cemetery, 847 Independence Ridge Road, Columbia, KY 42728. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers, and her granddaughters will serve as honoraries. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, December 20, 2015 after 4pmCT/5pmET. Mrs. Dorothy Corbin Petty, lifelong Adair Countian (1934-2015) Mrs. Dorothy Corbin Petty, a lifelong resident of Adair County, was born on Monday, February 26, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Nora Sneed Corbin. She departed this life on Friday, December 18, 2015 at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, Barren County, KY. She was 81 years, 9 months, and 22 days of age. At the age of 20, she devoted her life to her best friend Malcolm Petty, and together they shared over 37 years of marriage before his passing. She professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. She took great pride in her family and cherished the times they spent together.
