He was known throughout his neighborhood as the big guy with a big heart, always ready to lend a helping hand or just cheer someone's day. Mr. Arizzi professed faith in Christ and was of the Catholic faith.

Mr. Mario J. Arizzi, 51, of Campbellsville, KY, departed this life on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Norton's Hospital in Louisville, KY.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Arizzi on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 9amCT/10amET at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1765 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Gregory Rueda will be officiating. In keeping with Mr. Arizzi's wishes, cremation rites will be performed after the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, December 19, 2015, after 7amCT/8amET until time for the service.

Mr. Mario J. Arizzi of Campbellsville, KY was born on November 29, 1964 in Illinois. He was the son of Mario & Patricia Arizzi and the late Vita K. Carducci. He departed this life on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Norton's Hospital in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY. He was 51 years and 18 days of age.

Mr. Arizzi was a forklift operator until his health began failing. He was known throughout his neighborhood as the big guy with a big heart, always ready to lend a helping hand or just cheer someone's day. Mr. Arizzi professed faith in Christ and was of the Catholic faith.

He leaves to mourn his passing:
  • His parents: Mario and Patricia Arizzi of Chicago, Illinois

  • Two sons: Vincent Micheal Arizzi of Indiana, and Mario Arizzi of Chicago, Illinois

  • His ex-spouse and close companion: Brenda Arizzi of Campbellsville, KY

  • Six siblings: Laura Arizzi of Hodgenville, KY; Vita A Arizzi Montgomery and husband Ray of Greensburg, KY; Holly Arizzi Lemmons and husband Michael of Indiana; Jodi Arizzi Maris and husband Steve of Chicago, IL; Carmen V. Arizzi of Greensburg, KY; and Shelia Mussolino of Chicago,IL

  • Special friends: Stacy and Brian Elkin of Williamstown, KY; Richie Messinger of Chicago, Il; and all his neighbors at Crescent Hill Manor

  • Several nieces, nephews, and cousins

  • And a host of other family and close friends
