Several Christmas Events in Edmonton, KY this weekend

Saturday, December 12, 2015, will begin at 9amCT, with the 1st Annual Metcalfe Elementary PTO Christmas Bazaar at Metcalfe County Middle School Gym! Crafts, Concessions and pictures with Santa. All proceeds benefit Metcalfe County Elementary Students.



Also at 9amCT the Metcalfe County Winter Market will open inside Barn Lot Theater Office Building. Handmade craft items, ironworks, handmade soaps, knitted items and more! The Christmas Ugly Sweater 5K will be at 10am beginning at the Metcalfe County Judicial Center. Registration begins at 9am. Door prizes and Awards will be given. All participants are encouraged to wear Christmas attire.

The Edmonton United Methodist Church will have their annual Christmas Bake Sale at the Barn Lot Theater Office Building, beginning at 10amCT. Kim Smith's famous peanut butter fudge and Harold Chamber's bourbon balls will be among the delicious items for sale.

The Metcalfe County Historical Society will have the Trees of Conviction at the Metcalfe County Historical Jail from 10am until 2pmCT. Admission is $2 per person and proceeds will go toward restoration of the jail. Many beautiful trees are displayed throughout the jail and one can vote for their favorite.

The Metcalfe County Christmas Parade will begin at 1pmCT, at the Metcalfe Elementary School. To be judged, one must be at the school by 11amCT. To just participate in the parade, one should be at the school by noon. There are no entry fees. The theme this year is a Country Christmas. Cash prizes will be awarded in eight categories: Business, school, civic, church, friends/family, vehicle, mules/gators/side by side, and miscellaneous. Horses will gather at Edmonton Memorial Park and come down to Metcalfe Elementary at 1pm to join the end of the parade.

On Sunday, December 13, 2015, Grace Union Baptist Church will host Caroling for Christ in the Court Yard from 3pm until 4pmCT. Everyone is invited to participate or simply come and listen. It is a wonderful way to celebrate the real meaning of Christmas. We invite everyone to Edmonton this weekend for a wonderful Christmas Experience!
