Montie June Hamm of Liberty, KY passed away Friday, December 4, 2015 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY. She was 81.

Funeral services are 12pmNoonCT/1pmET, Monday, December 7, 2015 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Billy Joe Marple officiating. Burial will follow in Peavey Cemetery. Visitation is 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-8pmET, Sunday, December 6, 2015, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be her eight children.

Born February 18, 1934 in Casey County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Faried and Bertie Tungate Marple. She died Friday, December 4, 2015, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 81 years, nine months, and 16 days.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include:
  • Six sons: Arnold Keith Hamm of Kentucky, Roger Gregory (and Lisa) Hamm of Indianapolis, IN, Larry Steven Hamm of Liberty, KY; Kenneth Duane Hamm of Liberty, KY; Barry Scott (and Debbie) Hamm of Moreland, KY; Thomas Edward (and Paula) Hamm of Atlanta, GA

  • Two daughters: Sheila Gail (and Jerry) Keeling of Louisville, KY; and Robin (and Gary) Hamm of Liberty, KY

  • Five grandchildren

  • and five great-grandchildren
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Davis Hamm, who died February 12, 1976; a brother, William "Dickie" Marple; and two sisters, Hallie Lane and Ruth Sigmon.
