Robert H. (Bobby) Durham, Jr., Greensburg, KY (19

He made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church and was a lifelong farmer. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the United States Army and was a member of the James L. Pruitt V.F.W. Post #5813 and the American Legion Rod Lowe Post #124.

Robert H. "Bobby" Durham, Jr. of Greensburg, son of the late Robert Hervey Durham and Lula Kessler Durham, was born on March 22, 1931 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at his residence in Green County. He was 84 years, eight months, and nine days of age.

The funeral services for Mr. Robert H. "Bobby" Durham will be conducted at 10amCT Friday, December 4, 2015 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 South Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens with full military honors conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.

Visitation is requested from 4 until 8pmCT Thursday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT Friday until time of the funeral service.



He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Geneva Lee Harris Durham of Greensburg, having united in marriage on September 9, 1951, and the following:
  • A son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Anne Durham of Greensburg

  • Two daughters and a son-in-law, Betty Durham, and Pam and Tim Deaton all of Greensburg

  • Seven grandchildren: Andi and Ashley Shuffett, Cheslee and Jamie Bloyd, Laura and Stan Hodges, Lee and Ashleigh Durham, Lizi and Corey Witcher, Kelley Deaton, and Raegan Deaton

  • Ten great-grandchildren: Corbin and Mollie Shuffett, Paxton, Ansley, and Maura Bloyd, Davin and Lyla Phillips, Harper Hodges, Maddox and Maryn Durham

  • A sister, Ree Ingram and her husband John of Jefferstown

  • Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Barbara Harris of Greensburg, and Connie and Irv Dunham of Alabama, and a host of other relatives and friends.
PALLBEARERS: Cheslee Bloyd, Lee Durham, Kelley Deaton, Ashley Shuffett, Tim Deaton, Corey Witcher and Stan Hodges.

HONORARY PALLBEARERS: David Pierce, Harry Kessler, Irv Dunham, Mike Bills, Tim Darnell, Brenda DeSimone, Nelson Posey, Joe Durham, Michael Suratt, Kenneth Harris and Nieces & Nephews.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the V.F.W. James L. Pruitt Post #5813 or the Cincinnati Children's Hospital, which can be made at the funeral home.
