Mrs. Louise (Hughes) Wood, Taylor Co., KY (1941-2015)

Mrs. Wood was a former employee of the Campbellsville Laundry and Dry Cleaners, a job she held over 25 years. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness. He was the daughter of the late Glenn & Cassie (Herron) Hughes and the widow of Donnie Wood. She leaves four direct living descendants.

Mrs. Louise (Hughes) Wood, 74, departed this life on November 30, 2015 at her home in Campbellsville, KY on November 30, 2015.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Wood on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 12pmCT/1pmET in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY 42718. Elder Joe Schembari will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 700 Old U.S. 68, Campbellsville, KY. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 2, from 10amCT/11amET, until time for the service.

Mrs. Louise (Hughes) Wood was born on March 12, 1941. She was the daughter of the late Glenn and Cassie (Herron) Hughes. She departed this life on November 30, 2015 at her home in Campbellsville at the age of 74 years, 8 months, and 18 days.

Mrs. Wood was a former employee of the Campbellsville Laundry and Dry Cleaners, a job she held over 25 years. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness.

She leaves to cherish her memory:
  • Her husband of 55 years: Donnie Wood of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two children: Keith Wood and wife Beth of Lawrenceburg, KY; and Shelia Wethington and husband John of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two siblings: Cozetta Sprowles and husband Olyn of Campbellsville, KY; and Junior Lewis "Buddy" Hughes and wife Diane of Black Gnat, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Mason Wethington and Brenna Wethington, both of Campbellsville, KY

  • And a host of other family and friends.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Greg Hughes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials should take the form of donations to Hosparus of Green River. Those may be made online here, or in person at the funeral home.
