Jewell Riddle Ferguson age 84 of Burkesville, KY (a resident of Cumberland Valley Manor) passed away on Friday, November 27, 2015 at Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, KY.

Funeral service will be Monday, November 30, 2015 at 11amCT, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Modoc Cemetery. Family requests visitation on Sunday, November 29, 2015 from 2pmCT until 9pmCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.



Jewell Riddle Ferguson, 94, Burkesville, KY (1931-2015)


Jewell was born on May 09, 1931 in Cumberland County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Carl Vernon Riddle and Ocie Arlene Wright Riddle. She died Friday, November 27, 2015, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 84 years, six months, and 18 days.

She was a member of Sexton Fork Baptist Church, and a former employee of Bob Evans.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Thurston Ferguson, two sisters, Susan Riddle and Mary Riddle, and one brother, Herman Riddle. Survivors include the following:
  • Three sisters: Lucy Nation of Burkesville, KY, Elva Hoots and her husband Carmon of New Castle, IN, and Wanda Scott and her husband Jimmy of Burkesville, KY

  • Four brothers: Edward Riddle and his wife Ruby of Burkesville, KY, Clarence Riddle and his wife Kathleen of Albany, KY, Kenneth Riddle and his wife Sue of Albany, KY, and Clifford Riddle and his wife Linda of Burkesville, KY

  • Sister-in-law: Imogene Glidewell of Albany, KY

  • and a host of other relatives and friends also survive
