Elmer Beaty, Casey County, KY, Adair native (1932-2015)

He was a farmer and owner/operator of Beaty's Garage. He was a member of the Mannsville Christian Church. Elmer loved to sit on his front porch and he enjoyed going shopping at Wal-Mart. He was a former member of the Happy Gospel Singers and performed every Sunday on WKDO for over 40 years. His wife of 42 years, Ernestine "Tennie" Noe Beaty, survives. He was a native of Adair County, KY, and will be laid to rest in Barnett's Creek Cemetery.

Elmer Beaty, 83, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at the Casey County Hospital, Liberty, KY.

Funeral services are at 1pmCT/2pmET, Saturday, October 24, 2015 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Damon Romel and Bro. Larry Crenshaw officiating. Mr. Beaty will be laid to rest in Barnett’s Creek Cemetery. Visitation is 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Friday, October 23, 2015, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers are Matt Hicks, Tommy Bland, Mack Cox, Brian Woodrum, Wayne Pruer, and Sheridan Underwood. Honorary pallbearers are Carl Hicks, Doug Hicks, Milford Lowe, Roger Lowe, Steve Beaty, and Jimmy Dickerson.

Born May 8, 1932 in Adair County, KY, he was the son of Claud and Martha Jane Cleary Beaty. He died Tuesday, October 20, 2015, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 83 years, five months, and 12 days.

He was a farmer and owner/operator of Beaty's Garage. He was a member of the Mannsville Christian Church. Elmer loved to sit on his front porch and he enjoyed going shopping at Wal-Mart. He was a former member of the Happy Gospel Singers and performed every Sunday on WKDO for over 40 years.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Ernestine "Tennie" Noe Beaty, whom he married September 20, 1973, and the following:
  • A brother: Carlos (and Fern) Beaty of Daleville, Indiana

  • A sister: Zella Beaty McGaha of Adair County, KY

  • Two special friends: Matt Hicks and Sharon Francis
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Delmer, Johnny, and Jesse Beaty; and three sisters, Adell Dickerson, Anna Pearl Blankenship and Ada Beaty.
