Bro. Dan Hunt, Sr., Taylor County, KY (1947 - 2015)

Bro. Dan Hunt, Sr., was a passionate servant of the Lord and a church planter, will be remembered in this area for having pastored several churches, including three in Taylor County, Beech Grove Baptist Church, Elk Horn Baptist Church, and New Covenant Baptist Church. He was a 1977 graduate of Campbellsville College.
U.S. Veteran Bro. Dan Hunt, Sr. of Oak Grove, KY, formerly of Campbellsville, KY, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2015 in Nashville, TN, at age of 67.

Funeral services begin at 10amCT/ 11amET Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY with Bro. Wayne Kuhner officiating. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT, 5pm-8pmET, Friday, October 9, 2015. Burial will be in Beech Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with full military honors by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.



Bro. Dan Hunt, Sr., Taylor County, KY (1947 - 2015)

He was the son of the late Carl Bryson Hunt and Frances Hammond Hunt and was born in Mingo County, West Virginia, October 7, 1947. He died October 9, 2015, in Nashville, Davidson County, TN, at the age of 67 years, 2 days.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Faith Family Ministries.

He served his country honorably in the United States Navy. He was an Eagle Scout.

He united in marriage to Sharon Morrison May 23, 1968 who preceded him in death August 11, 2013.

He is survived by
  • Two sons: Daniel Stevenson Hunt, Jr. and wife, Alecia of Florence, Joshua Carl Hunt and wife,

  • One daughter: Stephanie of Louisville and Marci Elizabeth Hunt of Oak Grove,

  • Two grandsons: Daniel “Trey” Stevenson Hunt, III and James “Cade” Hunt,

  • One brother: Paul Hunt and wife, Janette of Flatwoods,

  • One sister: Carol Little of Ashland,

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
