Maurice Atchley, 74, of Russell Springs, KY, died Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

The funeral service for Maurice Atchley will be 2pmCT, Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Bobby Conner officiating. Visitation will be after 11amCT Wednesday until funeral service. Burial will be in the Square Oak Cemetery in Russell County, KY.



Maurice Atchley, 74, Russell Co., KY (1941-2015)

He was born Tuesday, January 7, 1941 in Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Roscoe & Clora Smith Atchley. He died Tuesday, October 6, 2015, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 74 years, eight months, and 29 days.

He was a factory worker.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers. Survivors include his wife, Nona Atchley, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • One son: Shawn (Clara) Atchley, Milford, Ohio

  • One grandson: Jonathan Edward Atchley, Zanesville, Ohio

  • One great grandson: Sterling Archer Atchley, Zanesville, Ohio

  • Three sisters: Dorothy (Roger) Loiselle, Lexington, KY; Donna (Vince) Lindsey, Utah, and Janice (Larry) Bernard, Glendale, Ky
