Elois Keltner, age 73, of Greensburg, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2015, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY.

The funeral service for Elois Keltner will be conducted at 11amCT, Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Greasy Creek Cemetery. Visistation is requested from 4pmCT until 9pmCT, Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Wednesday until time of the funeral service.



Mrs. Elois Murrell Keltner, 85, Green Co., KY (1942-2015)


Mrs. Elois Murrell Keltner of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Joshua Garland Murrell and Lucille Nunn Murrell, was born on April 6, 1942 in Metcalfe County, Kentucky, and departed this life on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was 73 years, five months, and 27 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greasy Creek Baptist Church. She was also a retired aide for the Green County School System.

She united in marriage to Rexford Simmons "Rex" Keltner on May 2, 1960 who preceded her in death on February 24, 2001.

Survivors include:
  • A daughter: Sharon Stafford and her companion, Buck Jaggers both of Greensburg, KY

  • Two sons and a daughter-in-law: Brent Keltner and his companion, Jamie Cecil, both of Green County, KY; and Trent and Michelle Keltner of Green County, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Allie Beth Stafford of Lebanon, KY; Josh Keltner, and Abigail Keltner both of Green County, KY

  • A brother and sister-in-law: Nelson and Ramona Murrell of Green County, KY

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
Mrs. Keltner was also preceded in death by a sister, Delois Murrell Free.
