Elizabeth May Eastham, 78, Russell Co., KY (1937-2015)

She and her late husband, Don Eastham operated the Merryland Roller Rink in Jamestown from 1975-1985 and afterwards moved to Maryland. She was a member of Jamestown First United Methodist Church. She was a native of Laurel, Maryland, and was a resident of the city at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Fredrick Schmidt and the late Anna Catherine Hinkleman Schmidt. She leaves nine direct living descendants.

Elizabeth May Eastham, 78 of Laurel, Maryland passed away Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the the home of a daughter in Jamestown, Kentucky.

Local memorial services will be planned at a later date. The funeral service will be held in Maryland and there will be no local visitation.

She was born Sunday, May 2, 1937 in Laurel, Maryland. She was the daughter of the late Fredrick Schmidt and the late Anna Catherine Hinkleman Schmidt. She died Thursday, October 1, 2015, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 78 years, five months.

She and her late husband, Don Eastham operated the Merryland Roller Rink in Jamestown from 1975-1985 and afterwards moved to Maryland. She was a member of Jamestown First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by the following:
  • Three daughters: Carol May Patterson and Cathy Sue Haga, both of Laurel, Maryland; and Kimberly Arehart, Jamestown, Kentucky

  • One brother: Fredrick Schmidt, Baltimore, Maryland

  • Five grandchildren

  • One great grandchild
