Work on intersection lighting is progressing daily By Victoria Pike News from Greater Biliss In talking today with one of the engineers overseeing the project I found out that we will be getting eight lights that will be 120 feet tall each with about 4000 watts of power each. Look out Greater Bliss, we are about to be able to see everything we want to at night around the interchange. This is the most exciting news for this area in ages. People entering and exiting the area at night will be able to see and navigate more safely in the area that has had several accidents over the years since the interchange opened a few years ago. Work is progressing daily. No date for the official lighting has been given yet but it is a highly anticipated event for many in the community. I for one, am hoping to be able to be under the lights when they are turned on for the first time. Thank you again to all those in the Kentucky Transportation Dept. who have made this project a reality for our little community. Special thank you to Gov. Steve Beshear for including it in the Six Year Road Plan. Miss Victoria --Victoria Pike This story was posted on 2015-09-25 03:11:13
