Jeanette (Jenny) Wilson Moss, 86, Columbia, KY (1929-2015)

She was a member of Columbia-Union Presbyterian Church where she had served as an Elder. She was a longtime employee of K & F Food Store. She was the last of nine siblings, the children of the late B.E. (Ed) Wilson & Vera Durham Wilson. Such a warm, wonderful All American family they were, one so many remember from mid 1900's when occupied the home with a big front porch opposite Miller Avenue on Jamestown Street. Jenny was the widow of Guy Moss, her husband of 57 years. She leaves four direct living descendants. She enjoyed giving snacks to her grand-dog, Sylvia.

Jeannette "Jenny" Moss, 86, of Columbia, died Sunday, September 20, 2015 at 5:56amET,at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, KY.

Funeral service will be Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 10amCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, with David Moss officiating Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Main Street, Columbia, KY. Visitation after 5pmCT, Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at the funeral home.



Jeanette (Jenny) Wilson Moss, 86, Columbia, KY (1929-2015)

She was born May 6, 1929, in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late B.E. & Vera Durham Wilson. She died Sunday, September 20, 2015, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 86 years, four months, and 14 days.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Guy C. Moss, on May 16, 2006, and her eight siblings.

She was a member of Columbia-Union Presbyterian Church where she had served as an Elder. She was a longtime employee of K & F Food Store and she enjoyed giving snacks to her grand-dog, Sylvia.

Survivors Include:
  • Two sons: Tom (Terry) Moss of Lexington, KY; & David (Kathy) Moss of Columbia, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Megan (Scott) Salathe & Sara Moss

  • One brother-in-law: J.T. Moss of Columbia, KY

  • Several nieces & nephews
