Stanley Sallee, 82, Taylor Co., KY, (1932-2015)

He was a retired employee of Taylor County RECC and a member of Spurlington United Methodist Church. He was a native of Taylor County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Howett Sallee and Sarah Campbell Sallee. His wife of over 63 years, Lula Sallee, survives. He leaves 21 direct living descendants.

Stanley Sallee, 82, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 9:39amET, Thursday, August 27, 2015 in Campbellsville, KY

Funeral services will be held at 10amCT/11amET Monday, August 31, 2015 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, officiated by Rev. Robert Morris and Rev. Mark Price. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 700 Old U.S. 68, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.

Stanley Sallee of Campbellsville, KY, was the son of the late Howett Sallee and Sarah Campbell Sallee. He was born October 27, 1932, in Taylor County, KY. He died Thursday, August 27, 2015 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at age 82 years, nine months.

He was a retired employee of Taylor County RECC.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Spurlington United Methodist Church.

He united in marriage to Lula Marcum July 5, 1952.

Besides his wife, Lula Sallee of Campbellsville, KY, he is survived by the following:
  • Four daughters: Linda Sherrill and husband, Billy, Brenda Rice and husband, David and Wanda Hardin of Campbellsville, KY; and Sandy Adams and husband, Jerry of Summersville, KY

  • Six granddaughters: Tammy Willis, Angie Draper, Natalie Alexander, Amanda Scott, Melissa Lanham and Sara Harris

  • Eleven great-grandchildren

  • Three brothers and one sister: Willard Sallee, Arnold Sallee and Donna Murray of Campbellsville, KY; and Leroy Sallee of Gibson City, IL

  • Two brothers-in-law: Tom Mardis and Hodges Skaggs of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Bobby Hardin; a grandson, Jeff Rice; and one brother and three sisters: William Sallee, Louvenia Mardis, Dimple Skaggs and Marjory Sallee.
