U.S. Veteran Jon Paul Scott passed away Saturday, August 15, 2015 in Casey County, KY. He was 26.

Funeral services are at 12pmNoonCT/1pmET, Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Gary Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Whited Cemetery. Visitation is 1pm-8pmCT/2pm-9pmET, Tuesday, August 18, 2015.



Pallbearers are Shawn Scott, Shannon Scott, Steven Greene, Steven Durham, Michael Durham and Larry Long. Honorary pallbearers are Brent Wells and Jantzen Hale.

Born Friday, July 28, 1989 in Pulaski County, KY. He was the son of Mitchell Scott of Liberty, KY; and Vivian Peyton, of Liberty, KY. He died Saturday, August 15, 2015, in Casey County, KY, at the age of 26 years, 18 days.

He was a member of the National Guard. Jon was of the Pentecostal faith. In addition to his mother and father, he is survived by the following:
  • A son: Luke Scott of Liberty, KY

  • Two daughters: Cheyanne and Breanne Scott of Liberty, KY

  • Two brothers: Steven and Michael Durham both of Liberty, KY
