Clifford Steele age 90 of Glasgow, KY formerly of Louisville passed away Thursday August 6, 2015 at Highland Ridge Assisted Living in Glasgow.

Funeral services will be held 2pmCT, Sunday, August 9, 2015, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT, Saturday, August 8, 2015, with Masonic Rites at 7pmCT; visitation continues after 9amCT Sunday at the funeral home.



He was the son of the late James Leslie and Lizzie Tudor Steele. He was a retired machinist by trade and attended the Coral Hill Baptist Church.

He is survived by the following:
  • Two stepsons: Mike and Jim Bryan of Louisville, KY

  • Five nephews: Glyndon Steele of Center, KY; Barry Dean Steele of Knob Lick, KY; Ronnie Bowles of Glasgow, KY; Joey Bowles of St. Louis, MO; and Jimmy Bowles of Louisville, KY

  • Three nieces: Imogene Huffman of Knob Lick, KY; Wanda DeBartolomeo of Martinsville, WV; and Debbie Walker of Sulphur Well, KY
He was preceded in death by his wife Alma; his parents James Leslie and Lizzie Tudor Steele; a son Dwan; a daughter, Georgia Steele; a brother, Clifton Steele; and three sisters, Orene Hensley, Maxine James and Alice M. Bowles.
