Eudora Cooper, 86, Russell Springs, KY (1928-2015)

She was a homemaker and a member of Salem United Baptist Church. She was native of Russell County, KY, a resident of the county at the time of her death, and will be laid to rest in Russell County at Salem Cemetery. She was the daughter of the late John Elliott & Vonnie Lee Popplewell Humble. She is survived by her husband, James Cooper. She leaves eight direct living descendants.

Eudora Cooper, 86, of Russell Springs, died Thursday, August 6, 2015 at the Fair Oaks Nursing Home, Jamestown, KY.

Funeral service for Eudora Cooper will be 2pmCT, Sunday, August 9, 2015 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Larold Gosser officiating. Visitation after 5pmCT, Saturday, August 8, 2015. Interment will be in the Salem Cemetery. Pallbearers: Wayne Hart, Clint Hart, Samuel Gosser, Benjamin Hammond Tony Wilson, and Ronnie Jackson.



Eudora Cooper, 86, Russell Springs, KY (1928-2015)

She was born Monday, December 24, 1928 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late John Elliott & Vonnie Lee Popplewell Humble. She died Thursday, August 6, 2015, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 86 years, seven months, and 13 days.

Eudora was a homemaker and a member of Salem United Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Daniel Roscoe Humble, John Bland Humble, James Earl Humble; and a sister, Nannie Lou Brockman.

Survivors include her husband, James Cooper, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • One son: Donald Lee (Linda) Cooper, Russell Springs, KY

  • One daughter: Linda S. Cooper & Les J. Lacey, Demopolis, AL

  • Two grandchildren: Heather Lynn (Jason) Withers and Bryan Lee (Lacy) Cooper

  • Three great grandchildren: Madyson Ann Withers, Camdin Ally Cooper, and Finnley James Cooper

  • Three brothers: Avery D. Humble, Russell Springs, KY; Calvin E. (Janet) Humble, Russell Springs, KY; and Billy Dean Humble, Louisville, KY

  • One sister: Margaret Ann (Randy) Gosser, Indianapolis, IN
