Helen E. Jackson age 75, of Glasgow, KY, died Friday, July 31, 2015 at her home.

Funeral services will be held 2pmCT, Monday, August 3, 2015, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Shirley-Dickson Cemetery. Visitation will be 4pm-pmCT, Sunday, August 2, 2015, and after 9amCT, Monday at the funeral home.



She was the daughter of the late Rev. Thomas and Zorader Shirley Burris. She was a retired cook at Barren County Health Care and member of the Prices Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by
  • Two sons: Ricky Jessee and fiancee' Tammy Stearns of Cave City, KY, and Steve and wife Amelia Jessee of Glasgow, KY

  • Two brothers: Gordon and wife Jayne Burris of Hiseville, KY; and Roger Burris of Knob Lick, KY

  • Two sisters: Elsie Jessie of Louisville, KY; and Mary and husband Phillip Wilson, of Smiths Grove, KY

  • One granddaughter: Leah Jessee of Glasgow, KY

  • Two step grandchildren: Bryan Stearns and Elizabeth Stearns both of Cave City, KY

  • A sister in law: Dorothy Burris of Glasgow, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death a brother, Bro. Junior Burris and a sister, Ruby Williams.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
